The PRIDE campaign which stands for (Providing Republican, Independent, Democrats Education) is designed to educate our members first and then the general public with accurate facts and statistics with regard to firefighters working conditions, occupational health hazards and overall compensation. The members are reminded as to how to respond to criticism of our pay and pension as well as our work schedules. The focus is on a professional and informative dialogue with a mostly uninformed or misinformed public. The Public relations campaign will include Billboards, TV, radio, news and electronic media leading all to a newly designed website that will contain verifiable facts and studies as to the health related issues facing NJ firefighters. Appropriate and civil debate is also encouraged as we begin to re-introduce ourselves to the public. In this poll driven society our aim is to influence and educate voters who in turn will impact the way legislators respond.
