You are invited to register a team or teams for "Hoops for the Cure".
The East Orange City Council in collaboration with the East Orange Fire Department proudly announces its sponsorship of the 1st Annual Fire vs Police Departments Father's Day weekend "Hoops for the Cure" Basketball Tournament.
Dates: Saturday and Sunday, June 16-17, 2012 for AAngelsNJ.
The proceeds of this tournament will directly benefit AAngelsNJ, a newly formed, not for profit, Breast Cancer Awareness and Resource organization in Essex County.
AAngelsNJ was founded by 3-1/2 year Breast Cancer Survivor, Angelina Killane-Sims, wife of Police Lieutenant Hakim Sims of the Orange Police Department.
All services are offered at no charge and the organization is determined to help educate individuals and families about Breast Cancer Awareness, screenings and to help locate and attain the resources that are available to them throughout the county.
Enclosed you will find an event flyer for posting and distribution along with a registration form and self- addressed envelope. Deadline for registration is June 5, 2012.
We hope that your team will encourage their family, friends and co-workers to come out and help support the efforts on behalf of your team and "Hoops for the Cure".
All registration forms along with a team registration fee of $200.00 should be mailed to AAngelsNJ, P.O. Box 150, Montclair, NJ 07042. Additional donations can also be sent to this address.
